The platform

Your name on the door. Everything else already built.

One system for brand, logistics, valuation, data destruction and settlement — configured to look like you, wired into what you already run, and recording who did what to every device along the way.

Brand configuration

It's your program. It should look like your program.

Your logo, colours, program name and domain

Brand configuration is the default, not an upgrade tier. Employees and customers sign in to your company on your domain and see your name at every step — the portal, the emails, the certificate, the settlement statement. Admins invite people; there is no self-signup to police.

NORTHSTAR LOGISTICS · powered by ITAD Processor

One form, and the value is already on screen

Device type, make, model, size — that's the whole ask. An estimate appears as they type, on a Grade A basis, and the final number follows at settlement. Addresses are validated before anything ships.

Integrations

It has to meet your systems where they are.

Most programs stall because the data lives somewhere else. So the platform connects to the systems that already hold your asset records, your storefront, your sanitization evidence and your processing floor.

ServiceNow and asset management

Assets, tickets and status move between the platform and the system of record, so the return doesn't become a second place to look.

Shopify

Trade-in valuation inside the storefront you already run, under your brand, with the collection and disposition handled behind it.

Certus and Blackbelt 360

Wipe results and certificates arrive from the sanitization tooling automatically and are matched to the right unit by serial number — nobody re-keys a certificate.

FedEx

Prepaid labels both ways and carrier scans that drive the timeline. No status on a return is typed by a human.

CSV bulk import

Whole fleets in one file — a refresh wave, a site closure, a departing cohort. Validated on upload, so bad rows surface before kits ship rather than after.

Console and finance export

One console for program state, and an export built for finance rather than for a screenshot: per-unit lines, fees applied, totals that reconcile.

Role-based access

Employee, admin, operator and finance each see their own surface. Access is granted by role, not by sharing a login, and every action is attributed to the person who took it.

Valuation

Every unit shows its math.

Value is produced by the Circular Momentum FMV Engine — operated independently of the processor, the packaging provider and the reseller, and taking no share of the settlement. The party that values the asset isn't the party that profits from the spread.

Per device value computed from the machine's own specifications and grade, not from a rate card or a category average

Shown, per unit the sample size behind a valuation and a confidence score travel with it — a thin sample is reported as a thin sample

What a given device is worth doesn't have one answer. A three-year-old machine and a five-year-old one of the same model can land in completely different places, and once processing is paid for, plenty of older units clear very little. That variation is why the platform values every unit individually, on its own specifications and grade, rather than applying an average and settling against it later. Each unit is priced against an engine carrying over a million priced observations, so the number can follow the actual machine. Circular Momentum FMV Engine · 2023–2026

Two numbers, and the platform is precise about which is which: an estimate up front on a Grade A basis, so the recovery can go in the plan, and the final settlement at close once the device is received and graded. Each carries its basis — aggregated market comparables, sample size, confidence score. Forward-looking value — what a device will be worth at a future refresh date — is in build, and is not something we claim today.

Settlement, computed rather than assembled

Market value from the device's real specifications and grade, then the fee schedule applied line by line, per unit, automatically. Finance gets the export from the same record that produced the certificate — one device, one story.

Confirm settlement

Chasing one device back costs about $210 — $120 of kit and freight, plus $90 of your own people's time. Any managed program under $210 per device costs less than doing it yourself, before you count a single unit that never comes back.

Circular Momentum Research Brief, Jul 2026
Security and custody

Every step stamps who, where, when — the audit trail builds itself.

Nobody assembles evidence at the end of the quarter. The record is a by-product of doing the work, which is the only version of an audit trail that survives contact with an actual audit.

R2v3 chain of custody

Custody is recorded at every handoff — dispatch, carrier scan, receipt, audit, sanitization, disposition. The chain is continuous, and it's the same record the settlement and the certificate are drawn from.

NIST 800-88 purge, certified per unit

A Certificate of Data Destruction for every device, matched to the unit by serial number rather than to a batch. Results arrive from the sanitization tooling automatically.

Failed wipes are quarantined

A device that fails a wipe doesn't rejoin the flow. It's quarantined, its drives are pulled and destroyed individually, and the destruction gets its own certificate. Proof, not promises.

Wipe in place, before the device ships

A device stops being used long before it's collected, and it isn't provably clean until someone certifies it. Closing that window at the start — wipe and validate in place, then ship a device already proven clean — is coming as a paid option. Certified destruction on receipt is what runs today, and a per-unit certificate follows the device either way.

Reporting

One record, three outputs.

Program

Where every device is, what's overdue, what's been settled — live, without asking anyone for a status.

Finance

Per-unit settlement lines with the fee schedule applied, exported in a form that reconciles instead of one that has to be re-typed.

Sustainability, optional

Each returned asset can carry a report of its avoided Scope 3 emissions, calculated per device and split by what actually happened to it. A laptop that gets resold avoids roughly 224 kg CO₂e, against about 5.0 kg if the same machine is recycled instead. Figures are per device class, never a fleet average, and the reuse figure applies only where the unit is actually resold. Because it runs off the same chain of custody that produced the certificate, the sustainability figure and the settlement figure describe the same device. Available as an option.

Avoided Scope 3 emissions per laptop, from the Circular Momentum FMV Engine — the same engine that values the device. Figures are per device class, not a fleet average.
Getting started

You go live. You don't build.

1 · Configure

Brand, rates, roles and domain. Onboarding and agreements are handled.

2 · Connect

We wire the platform into the systems you already run and import the fleet.

3 · Run

Kits ship, devices come back, value settles, finance gets the export.

Every screen, unnarrated

Your name on the door.

Tell us what your fleet looks like. We'll come back with volume, recovery, and a plan.
